Caring Cars gives automobiles, trucks, and free vehicles to people in the north central Alabama area. The car needs to be used for job transportation. Recipient families are carefully selected and referred by Family Services Center social workers and case managers based on their need, which has to be proved. Although many recipients are already working when they receive a car from Caring Cars, those that aren't currently employed must be working within 30 days of receiving a car.
