Hector’s Auto Repair is a certified auto repair shop in South Los Angeles owned and operated by Hector Linares. Hector immigrated to Los Angeles from El Salvador in the late 1990s when he was 20 years old. Coming from a country with only about 400 cars, Hector’s ambition was much bigger than his homeland. Once in L.A., Hector immediately started working toward his dream of becoming an automotive technician.
Going to mechanic school at night and working during the day, Hector learned his automotive basics, and to this day, he still attends training courses to stay up-to-date on the latest technological advancements in the auto industry. Now he has many certificates, and even teaches at the first school he attended after arriving in L.A.
