National Discount Muffler has been family run through 2 generations. Currently run by Nelson Maynard's son Paul Maynard, the business has been open for over 33 years serving the New Bern, NC and surrounding communities. Prior to running the shop, Paul was a nuclear test engineer and has brought his nuclear test skills to the automotive testing arena. Never one to settle for the minimum, Paul continuously improved his automotive skills and made sure that his customers received individual attention and are treated with respect. His dedication and enthusiasm toward his customers and the community he served, won him many accolades throughout the decades.
